Seeds and Stuff

As a plot holder and HAHA member you can benefit from reduced prices when purchasing seeds and other growing supplies. Discounts of up to 50% on seeds and 20% off plants have been exclusively agreed with online retailer Dobies. Sundries such as fleece, netting and weed suppressant can also be bought in larger quantities to reduce the costs for individual plot holders directly from Marsh Lane site.

Manure

Manure is typically delivered twice a year, in Autumn and Spring. The manure is stored on the manure heap next to the tool shed at Marsh Lane and is available to purchase per barrow load at a reduced rate to members.

Equipment

Marsh Lane Site has several items of equipment available for use by plot holders after training. These include mowers, strimmers and rotavators. A selection of wheelbarrows is also available for use on-site at Marsh Lane.

Ongoing Maintenance

Hungerford Allotments are managed by volunteers who are also plot holders. Maintenance is the responsibility of all plot holders, and the committee organises monthly work parties where all members can participate in maintaining the communal areas of the sites. Managing the site in this way keeps rental costs low for everyone.
